Today is the big day! It will all begin again for this year and it is a very exciting time for not just the people of Detroit, Michigan, but for car lovers everywhere! Today marks the opening day for the North American International Auto Show, well at least for everyone who has press credentials.
Today is January 14, 2013 and for today and tomorrow the schedule of who is allowed will be only those who have press credentials. So if you are one of the lucky few, then be very excited that you are one of the first ones that will get the see this year's exciting lineup of upcoming vehicles. So all you car buffs out there know who you have to be jealous of for the fact that they can get an early sneak preview before you.
The next groups will be the Industry and Charity Previews. The industry preview will last from the 16th to the 17th and will be all of those who are working in the field. This gives a great chance to collaborate and get an idea of what kind of competition you have out there. The charity preview will be open to anyone, but will come at a hefty price. It is a very high profile event though and all of the proceeds will go to some amazing causes. Most of which will be charities involving children, and some great things have happened because of this event, so you would not be disappointed getting an early look, and helping some great causes.
Finally on the 19th it begins, the NAIAS will become completely open to the public. Now will be your chance to head on down to the amazing, historical Cobo Arena and be apart of the magic. Do not feel like you have to rush out if you are busy, because it will be open all the way until the 27th so there will be a little bit over a week to go and check things out.
